During my time teaching with Robert, I witnessed a teacher full of tremendous creative energy, patience and passion for his profession. Teaching multi-level classes at the university level in rural China is an exceptionally difficult task, but time and again Robert demonstrated his willingness and desire to continually better himself as a teacher and sacrifice much of his free time to assist students in need. Robert's sense of humor, command of the English language and creative lesson planning truly helped his students attain the challenging goal of learning a second language. Robert set the standard for all other teachers to follow, and he was and still is profoundly respected by both the student body and the faculty as well. Robert's creative guidance helped our Foreign Language Department develop improved curriculum, and our department has thrived as a result of it. He works extremely well with others, and he is extremely dependable in the classroom. He has repeatedly shown that he possesses the temperance and fortitude to thrive in any given academic environment.
